02/04/2020 - We are accepting orders as usual. The restrictions on shopping announced on the 23rd March apply to visiting shops and do not prevent businesses from selling online, so we can continue. Our courier is doing a sterling job of delivering our plants and has made appropriate changes to their procedures to prevent contact at parcel collection and on the doorstep. To help them we ask that you leave details of a 'safe place' in the relevant box in the checkout form, where your parcel can be left (for example 'behind the bins' or 'in the porch' etc). If this is not possible the drivers will still deliver but they will sign for the parcel on your behalf. Only family members work at the nursery so we do not have the worry of protecting staff members. We wish everyone well during this difficult time.
We send out established plants in at least 9x10cm pots, so they can go into the ground immediately or you can leave them until you are ready to plant them.
We dispatch orders on a weekly basis, on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and we use an overnight courier to limit the amount of time your plants are in transit. You will be notified by email when they have been dispatched and the courier will email/text you on the delivery day to give you an estimated time of delivery.
Collection From Nursery - Free. Plus we offer a 10% discount on plants collected from the nursery (see below).
Delivery - Orders can be placed via the website for home delivery anywhere in the UK.

The delivery driver will leave the parcel in your safe place and put a card through your door if you are out. If you are not likely to be in, please indicate a safe place in the relevant section of the checkout form. Please note that the safe place must be out of sight of the road. If we do not have details of a safe place, the parcel will need to be signed for. Very occasionally, at our discretion, we may opt to send parcels by a different method than outlined here.
We send potted plants, not plug plants!
For areas of the UK where couriers normally charge more, (such as Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland etc.), there may unfortunately be a surcharge. You can view the price list from our courier here. Please order in the usual way for these areas and we will contact you to take the additional payment over the phone. N.B. If your order qualifies for free delivery, we will just ask you to pay the surcharge element. There is no surcharge for Royal Mail deliveries (orders under £15).
We may be able to delivery locally at no charge - please enquire.
There is no delivery charge for Instant Gift Vouchers as these are delivered via email to the recipient.
Overseas: We regret that due to the limitations of the insurance that couriers carry, for now we are not offering overseas delivery.
Collection From The Nursery
This service is suspended due to the current situation. We are offering delivery only during this time. We are offering free delivery for orders over £25 to addresses within 5 miles of the nursery.
You are welcome to collect your order and there is no charge for this option. Just select the 'Collect from nursery' option in the order form to avoid the postage charge and we will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient time for you to collect your plants from our nursery site, just outside the market town of Buckingham. Alternatively you can email/phone your order and pay on collection.
We offer a 10% discount on orders that are collected. Enter code Collect15 in the coupon box to apply the discount. This discount is only valid on orders that we do not have to post.
The nursery is situated close to Stowe Landscape Gardens, Waddesdon Manor, Silverstone Racing Circuit and several other attractions, so why not plan a day out and collect your plants on the way home?
Collection From Plant Fairs
Each year we attend a number of shows and plant fairs and you are welcome to collect your order from one of these events at no charge.
Orders which contain pre-order plants will be dispatched when all of the plants are available.

While we make every effort to keep the website up-to-date with plant availability, it is impossible for stock levels to be 100% accurate, especially during busy times. We sell plants online, at the nursery and at plant fairs etc, so our stock levels are constantly changing. Please feel free to email your wishlist to check availability. If an item is unavailable and you have not chosen to accept substitutes during the checkout process, we will refund the relevant amount for the unavailable plant(s).
