Hardy Geraniums

Hardy geraniums are reliable, long-flowering, easy-to-grow plants. They are commonly known as cranesbill geraniums, cranesbills or true geraniums and have been grown in British gardens for hundreds of years.

They are incredibly useful to pollinators such as bees and hoverflies, with their long blooming periods and masses of flowers providing a long season of nectar and pollen.

Hardy geraniums should not be confused with Pelargoniums, which are often also called geraniums.

Many hardy geraniums are excellent ground cover plants, often thriving in poor soil in deep shade.
