Plant Overview

A robust primula from Ireland and named after the poem by the Irish poet James Clarence Mangan.

Bronze-coloured leaves and burgundy striped pink flowers.

A very worthy garden plant.

Height: 15cm

Over hills, and thro’ dales,
    Have I roam’d for your sake;
All yesterday I sail’d with sails
    On river and on lake.
The Erne, at its highest flood,
    I dash’d across unseen,
For there was lightning in my blood,
    My Dark Rosaleen!

My own Rosaleen!
O, there was lightning in my blood,
Red lighten’d thro’ my blood.
    My Dark Rosaleen!

All our plants are supplied in 9x10cm pots unless otherwise specified. Plants in this size pot establish quickly in the garden and often outpace plants in bigger pots planted at the same time. Our potted plants can be planted immediately, unless otherwise noted, or you can leave them in their pots until you are ready to plant. We grow almost everything we sell ourselves, in our nursery in the Buckinghamshire countryside. Our prices include VAT at 20%.
