We are often asked for recommendations for plants which are good for cut flowers so we have now created a new category on the website for just that. These plants are known to provide flowers suitable for cutting, by virtue of long stems, good scent and/or long vase life.
There is something wonderful about returning from the garden with a vase of fresh cut flowers, especially as they have zero air miles!
While we are on the subject, if you're not already aware of it, check out 'Flowers From the Farm', an organisation which supports and promotes British cut flower growers. From their website you can find a grower near you and buy local.
