Plant Details

A charming little spreading alpine or rockery plant which is simply covered in flowers which stand proud, easily seen above the foliage.

Easily grown and trouble-free, this pretty free-flowering violet is good in a sunny, semi-shaded or fully shaded site.

Typical violet flowers, which are white but with a broad, rich, lilac flush. Usually flowers from spring to late autumn.

Protect young plants from frost until established.

Native to eastern Australia.

Height: 15cm

Common name(s): Australian violet, Ivy-leaved violet, Spurless violet, Trailing violet

All our plants are supplied in 9x10cm pots unless otherwise specified. Plants in this size pot establish quickly in the garden and often outpace plants in bigger pots planted at the same time. We do not sell 'plug plants' because those need to be grown on before planting. Our potted plants can be planted immediately, unless otherwise noted, or you can leave them in their pots until you are ready to plant. We grow everything we sell ourselves, in our nursery in the Buckinghamshire countryside.
