Plant Overview

An interesting and rarely seen plant. Unusual pale-pink drumstick flower spikes appear in very early spring. Large, jagged umbrella shaped leaves provide interest for the summer. Leaves yellow-ish green, being more yellow with more sunlight.

Grow in full sun or dappled shade in most soil types, including wet. Spreads to form a good-sized clump.

Native to cool temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere in Northern Europe, Northern Asia and North America.

Height and Spread: 60cm x 1m

Common name(s): Arctic Sweet Coltsfoot; Arctic butterbur

All our plants are supplied in 9x10cm pots unless otherwise specified. Plants in this size pot establish quickly in the garden and often outpace plants in bigger pots planted at the same time. Our potted plants can be planted immediately, unless otherwise noted, or you can leave them in their pots until you are ready to plant. We grow almost everything we sell ourselves, in our nursery in the Buckinghamshire countryside. Our prices include VAT at 20%.
