Striking, burgundy flower spikes on long slender stems flower continuously from May to September. The attractive, crinkled, rosettes of silver-green foliage are an excellent foil for the flowers, which are also highly attractive to butterflies.
Its glaucous silvery leaves are ideal for teaming with tactile grasses like Panicum and Miscanthus. Its intense colouring brings an air of opulence and depth to any border and its slender pointed spires arch over elegantly.
