An excellent plant for a sunny border. Forms clumps of felty-soft silver leaves, which make a pleasant backdrop to bright magenta flowers in late summer.
A bullet-proof plant which will grow anywhere except permanently boggy, including very dry.
Useful silvery-grey foliage and a good plant for bees and butterflies.
Grown in Britain since 1596.
