An invaluable shade plant. The white flower heads contrast well with the dark green leaves which are edged with white hairs. Luzula is evergreen and dry shade tolerant once established and native to the UK. It often appears in Chelsea Flower Show show gardens, with its architectural, natural flower spikes. Pest and disease resistant.
It produces an abundance of white, spiky flowers in loose, arching panicles between June and July. These contrast well with the dark green leaves and can be dried for long-lasting indoor displays.
Will tolerant full sun providing it's in a moist soil.
All our plants are supplied in at least 9x10cm pots. Plants in this size pot establish quickly in the garden and often outpace plants planted in bigger pots at the same time. We do not sell 'plug plants' because those need to be grown on before planting. Our potted plants can be planted immediately, unless otherwise noted, or you can leave them in their pots until you are ready to plant. We grow everything we sell ourselves, in our nursery in the Buckinghamshire countryside.
