Plant Details

A striking plant, well worth growing in the border. Purple tinted foliage and dark stems topped with large, foaming heads of purple-pink florets in late summer. 

The flowers are scented and loved by bees and butterflies. 

Height and spread: 1.2m x 90cm

Joe Pye was a New England herbalist who used the roots of Eupatorium as a tonic and a treatment for diarrhoea.
