Plant Overview
A beautiful blue flowering alpine for the rockery, path edge or container. In summer it's covered in masses of tubular, deep violet-blue flowers with a lighter margin; these are held in whorls on softly hairy flower spikes.
The narrow, needle-like foliage turns a lovely orange-red in autumn.
An excellent source of nectar for bees.
Grow in full sun or light shade, in well drained soil.
Drought tolerant when established.
Height and spread: 25 x 25 cm
Synonym: Dracocephalum argunense 'Blue Carpet'
This alpine plant may be supplied in a 7cm or 9cm pot, depending on the time of year.
