Plant Details

One of the rarest old of the old pinks, reputed to come from the 17th century. Single frilled velvet flowers of dark carmine with fine brush marks of chocolate and pink of varying amounts. Very fragrant. Now very difficult to propagate, probably due to its age.

Flowers from June to August.

Height: 18cm

Common name(s): Pink; Gillyflower

All our plants are supplied established in pots. We do not sell 'plug plants' because those need to be grown on before planting. Our potted plants can be planted immediately, or you can leave them in their pots until you are ready to plant. We grow everything we sell ourselves, in our nursery in the Buckinghamshire countryside.
