Plant Overview

We are very grateful to a generous customer who donated this lovely pink.

Wonderful double red flowers with serrated petals on blue foliage. Scented. Very similar to Dianthus 'St Nicholas'.

Not much is known about the history, although it possibly originated with Frank Lawley of Herterton House, Northumberland.  Its age is uncertain but is known to pre-date 1990.

Also known as Dianthus 'Lawley's Red'.

Height: 20cm

Common name(s): Pink; Gillyflower

All our plants are supplied in 9x10cm pots unless otherwise specified. Plants in this size pot establish quickly in the garden and often outpace plants in bigger pots planted at the same time. Our potted plants can be planted immediately, unless otherwise noted, or you can leave them in their pots until you are ready to plant. We grow almost everything we sell ourselves, in our nursery in the Buckinghamshire countryside. Our prices include VAT at 20%.
