Plant Overview
Still one of the best Buddlejas, Black Knight has beautiful dark purple flower lances from July to September, which look black in some light.
Produces an intoxicating perfume and is loved by cabbage white, peacock and tortoiseshell butterflies, as well as bees.
Can grow up to a magnificent height of 3m, however if you prefer a more compact Buddleia just make sure to prune hard in March.
Good for cutting.
