Today has been a day of seed planting. November may not be the obvious month for planting seeds but there are two good reasons for sowing now.

Firstly, seeds that have been collected this season from plants that don't store well, need to be sown straight away. Secondly, some seed types need to go through a period of cold to break down their dormancy before they will germinate - they will left in a cold-frame over the cold winter months.

We have sown seed of over 60 new plants which, all being well, will be introduced into our range next year.
