Plant Overview

This very old primula has lovely dark burgundy flowers with each petal surrounded with gold-lacing. Introduced around 1750 and was much prized by the Victorians.

Can be planted in the ground but also works very well in containers. The flowers can be cut and used in spring floral displays.

Flowers from late winter to mid spring.

Height: 20cm

All our plants are supplied in 9x10cm pots unless otherwise specified. Plants in this size pot establish quickly in the garden and often outpace plants in bigger pots planted at the same time. Our potted plants can be planted immediately, unless otherwise noted, or you can leave them in their pots until you are ready to plant. We grow almost everything we sell ourselves, in our nursery in the Buckinghamshire countryside. Our prices include VAT at 20%.
