A lovely, very free-flowering, pink Japanese Anemone. which flowers from August to October.
Japanese Anemones will grow on pretty much any soil in pretty much any situation, including deep shade.
Grows slowly into a good sized clump and will also gently self seed.
Awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit and it was particularly noted that the flowers had an abundance of pollen, so excellent for our under threat pollinators.
Suitable for cut flowers.
Drought tolerant when established.

History
Hybrid Japanese Anemones are bred from a plant sent to England by Robert Fortune in 1844 and they have been popular garden plants ever since.
This cultivar was introduced by the plantsman Eric Smith, a gardener at Hadspen Garden in Somerset in the last century.
