Today we moved a lot of large plants in pots and found a large number newts, frogs and toads. This is why we don't use pesticides at the nursery, but instead we work with nature as much as possible and they reward us by eating slugs and their eggs and other pests. This doesn't mean we never have slug damage, but it's vastly reduced and we put up with a little inconvenience in return for seeing these wonderful creatures living happily around us.
